JUST A NOSTALGIC POEM

by Earlie Doriman
Pearl Farm Resort

Davao City, Philippines
When I am very busy and preoccupied, my imagination just naturally explored back the memories of my home country and would feel deeply lonely and homesick. If I find a little space to breath between the hectic course of the day, I could only sigh and wish I am on my way home to see the inspiring smiles of my siblings and the warm embrace of my parents whom I have not seen for more than two years. I miss them a lot and it is honestly tough. These emotions are generally injected into the poem of overflowing longing of a country, a home, and a promise.

THE BLESSING OF FATHERHOOD

by Earlie Doriman
I could not exactly describe how excited I was to know that my wife was pregnant to our first child. But I know it was so fulfilling, and that made us both in tears. Similarly at the labour ward, I could not simply contain the miracle that was about to happen, it was a mixture of happiness and anxiety - happiness to see our first son and hear his first cry; and the feeling of anxiety for my wife, who handled the long and painful hours of labour. Nevertheless, everything was a blessing laid in a proper place. My wife and my son were very much fine, and my journey to fatherhood officially commenced.

F.A.C.E.R : FIGHT AGAINST CRUELTY, EXPLOITATION, and RACISM

by Earlie Doriman
My good friend Jay Pabualan, who is currently working in Thailand, invited me to his facebook page called F.A.C.E.R an acronym for FIGHT AGAINST CRUELTY, EXPLOITATION, and  RACISM. Without doubt, I supported his page and readily connected to its growing members whose primary aim is to promote deeper social awareness and understanding about some of the major concerns of human rights as well as animal rights. Recently, he asked me to be an administrator of the same page, and again with no shadow of hesitation, I accepted it with genuine faith to gaining more supporters committed to similar advocacy.

THINGS YOU SHOULD AVOID DOING IN FACEBOOK

by Earlie Doriman
No matter how busy your day, no matter how poorly you’re feeling, FACEBOOK, more often than not, is a part to one’s way of life – the FB generation as I call it.
Undoubtedly, FACEBOOK is the most popular social networking site today.  There are more than 500 million active users to date and this number keeps growing every single day. Mark Zuckerberg, the main founder of FB continues to get wealthy as his virtual lounge unsurprisingly attracted a massive fraction of the world’s living population.

SIMPLE SAVING TIPS AT HOME

Saving a portion of what you hardly earn is as essential as having decent meals on the table.  Even millionaires do manage their financial resources competently and do not just spend a penny for nothing.  To the working class like myself, it is more relevant to save as much as possible especially at these times when everything goes up but the salary.  No one is exempt from the frustrating effect of global inflation and recession.

Yet indeed, to save money is awfully difficult. You must shake up lifestyle and think about expenses according to priorities, learn to distinguish ‘what is needed’  from ‘what is wanted’. In the process, it could be so stressful and frustrating. But could there be any better option? It would be more grieving to find yourself deeply broke whilst the bills continue to pile up. It is a matter of ‘saving for the rainy days’.

SPLENDID SUNSHINE: My First Award

by Earlie Doriman
It is both a surprise and an inspiration to get my first blogging award. And I could not thank enough Heart who picked me as one of the nominees. I have been following her blog, Fire in my Eyes, for sometime now and it does not fail to provide me quality contents and sensible everyday life insights. It is very heart-warming to know that there are a good number of people across the virtual world that let you feel they are just a door away and always ready to put sunshine in your day, and I am glad to tell you that Heart is one of them.
Thanks for this award again Heart.
You may visit her blog and see it for yourself.

A generous Heart is contagious, and it could spread throughout cheerfully and beyond borders. Being a recipient of others kindness, I am more than willing to share this to other deserving bloggers around. Just follow the following rules to grab it.

The half term break from schoolwork gave me, my family, and close friends the chance to enjoy the sunshine and the excitement of a ‘not-so-usual’ activities within the week. There was a couple of parties, invitations to attend, and ample time to spend with my sons; Matthew and Thomas. Although the whole time was completely busy, it was honestly well worth the fun, the laughter, the chatting, the fellowship, and of course the food.

OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

by Earlie Doriman
According to Lao Tsu, ‘To love somebody deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage’.  Don’t blame me, I am spontaneously carried away by love quotes and affectionate verses because today is our wedding anniversary.

It is but profoundly wonderful to bring back memories of first acquaintance, the excitement of being in love and the
